Get Involved: Test the New Market-Wide Half-Hourly Settlement EES API

The upcoming Market-Wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS) programme introduces significant changes to the Electricity Enquiry Service (EES), and we need your help to ensure a seamless transition. Starting October 31st, 2024, a test version of the updated EES API will be available to all users. This is your opportunity to explore the new Portal and API, provide valuable feedback, and ensure the systems are ready before the official launch in March 2025.

What’s changing and why it matters

The MHHS version of the EES API Interface Specification outlines the necessary modifications to the EES API.

How you can participate in testing

We’re offering access to test versions of the updated API through two channels:

  • MHHS Programme Systems Integration Testing (SIT) – For SIT Parties Only
Since June 10th, 2024, a test version of the EES API has been available in the MHHS SIT A environment. SIT Parties involved in MHHS SIT Migration can access this version. To gain access, contact the MHHS Programme Testing Team at testing@mhhsprogramme.co.uk
  • Supporting Programme UIT Testing – For All Parties
Beginning October 31st, 2024, a test version of the EES API will be available to all EES users as part of MHHS Programme User Integration Testing (UIT). If your organisation needs access, please reach out directly to the EES Service Provider C&C at Support@candc-uk.com

How to request access

To request access to the test API, please provide the following details in your email:

  • Company Group Name
  • MPID and Role Code (if applicable)
