Have your say: The Switching Incentive Regime (SIR) survey is now live

Ofgem is reviewing how the Data Communications Company (DCC) supports energy switching across the market– and your feedback plays a key role.

Why your feedback matters

The Switching Incentive Regime (SIR), introduced in 2023, is Ofgem’s framework for understanding how DCC supports energy switching services. As part of this, RECCo gathers feedback from Retail Energy Code (REC) Parties to ensure user experiences are reflected.

The SIR survey explores:

  • How smoothly switching works in practice
  • How effectively DCC communicates with and supports its users

Your feedback helps build a rounded view of current performance and identifies opportunities for improvement, contributing to how DCC is assessed through the Centralised Registration Service Performance Adjustment (CRSPA).

What happens to your response?

We’ve partnered with independent research agency Researchcraft to run the survey.

  • Your responses are confidential (unless you choose otherwise)
  • Insights will be shared with RECCo after the survey closes
  • Findings will inform a report to Ofgem

What happens next?

After the survey closes:

  • Researchcraft will analyse the results
  • RECCo will combine your insights with operational data
  • A final SIR 2026 Assessment Report will be submitted to Ofgem
