Help test the new REC Portal

As part of our programme to relaunch the REC Portal, we’re inviting external users to take part in the soft launch of Release 0.2 from 18 August to 1 September 2026.

This is an opportunity to explore the new portal before its full launch later this year. You’ll be able to try key user journeys in real scenarios and provide feedback to help shape the remaining releases before go-live.

What’s available in Release 0.2?

During the soft launch, you’ll be able to explore a range of new features, including:

  • Getting started: the new Portal homepage, user accounts and login, and AI-powered search and assistance to help you find what you need in plain language.
  • Digital REC: the REC Navigator, digital process maps, and change and release information.
  • Change management: change proposals, the change register, consultation pages, and change workflows, end-to-end.
  • Performance assurance and party management: tools to manage your organisation and people, entry and withdrawal, qualification, data uploads and reporting.
  • Support: the new integrated service desk and knowledge base.

Features for committees, events and news will be introduced in Release 0.3, ahead of the full REC Portal relaunch on 18 November 2026.

Taking part

Taking part is straightforward.

If you volunteer, we’ll:

  • Provide you with access to the new portal
  • Suggest a selection of user journeys to explore
  • Ask you to complete a short feedback form after your testing

The total time commitment is around 30 minutes over the two-week soft launch period.

Register your interest

If you’d like to take part, or would like to nominate a colleague, please complete this form by Friday, 7 August 2026.

We’ll then send you everything you need to get started before the soft launch opens on 18 August.

Your feedback will play an important role in refining the REC Portal ahead of its full launch later this year.
