Isabelle has served on the RECCo Board since 1 August 2023. Following a review of the role and her contribution to the Board, the Nominations Committee met on 9 June 2026 and unanimously recommended her re-appointment to the RECCo Board for a further 3-year term. At their meeting on 10 June 2026, the RECCo Board resolved that Isabelle Haigh be reappointed as Non-Executive Director for a further 3-year term, subject to the formal REC Party vote as required by the REC.
Subject to REC Party approval, her new term would begin on 01 August 2026 2026.
Under Clause 5.9(b) of the REC, REC Parties must be consulted and asked to vote to confirm the re-appointment.
A significant contribution to RECCo
Since joining the Board, Isabelle has made a significant contribution to RECCo’s governance, strategic oversight and organisational development.
Alongside her role as the Industry (Networks) Non-Executive Director, Isabelle has chaired Board sub-committees, provided constructive challenge and independent oversight of key strategic matters, and led lessons-learned exercises across major RECCo programmes. These activities have helped strengthen organisational learning, governance and continuous improvement across RECCo’s operations.
Her experience across electricity and gas transmission also provides the Board with valuable insight into the wider energy landscape, ensuring Board discussions benefit from a broad industry perspective and a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing network organisations and the market.
The Nominations Committee’s recommendation and Board endorsement reflect both Isabelle’s continued commitment to RECCo and the positive impact she has had during her current term. The Committee believes her experience, independent perspective and sector knowledge will continue to support the Board and REC Parties as the industry navigates ongoing change and transformation.

A Message from the Chair of the Nominations Committee
I am delighted that the Nominations Committee has unanimously recommended Isabelle’s re-appointment to the RECCo Board.
“Over the course of her current term, Isabelle has made a significant contribution to the Board and to RECCo more broadly. In addition to bringing extensive experience from across the energy sector, she has provided thoughtful challenge, chaired Board committees, and played an important role in helping RECCo learn and improve through her leadership of lessons-learned reviews across key programmes.
“Her ability to draw on both operational and strategic experience, combined with her understanding of the wider energy landscape and network sector, has been invaluable to Board discussions and decision-making.
The Committee believes Isabelle continues to bring an important perspective to the Board, and we are pleased to recommend her for a further term.
