Our response to: Enhancing Asset Visibility for Distribution Network Operator Options

On 6 February 2026, we published our response to Ofgem’s consultation on Enhancing Asset Visibility for Distribution Network Operator Options, backing the objective to improve visibility of small-scale distributed assets, while urging that delivery builds on existing market-wide infrastructure and governance to minimise duplication and reduce delivery risk. We also highlighted the potential role of Retail Energy Code Enquiry Services—as a trusted foundation linked to meter point administration numbers—with secure interoperability to the Flexible Market Asset Register.
