Calling all Brokers – Respond to our draft Code of Practice

We held a series of workshops with non-domestic Suppliers and Brokers earlier this year to explore what, if anything, RECCo could do to support the regulation of Third-Party Intermediaries (TPIs). Both parties were overwhelmingly in favour of the introduction of a Code of Practice (CoP) and supported the use of a standard Letter of Authority (LOA).

We’re pleased to have a draft approach to a CoP and standard LOA that we want relevant stakeholders to consider. We think a principles-based approach is the most appropriate way to introduce a CoP; it sets standards whilst allowing participants the flexibility that meets their business model.

This is your opportunity to provide feedback on the principles we have developed before a full draft CoP is issued for consultation. As such, we’re hosting an event for TPIs in Manchester on June 20th, where we will present our proposal and seek input.
