Our response to: Non-Domestic Smart Meter Rollout Post 2025

On 16 January 2026, we published our response to the consultation on the Non-Domestic Smart Meter Rollout Post 2025, welcoming the proposal to use the Retail Energy Code (REC) as the governance “home” and noting that the proposed monitoring and reporting would be a material evolution of REC Performance Assurance. We also highlighted the need for early clarity on roles, reporting expectations, and escalation pathways to support effective delivery.
