RECCo appoints Raidiam and PayPoint as Trust Framework partners for Consumer Consent Solution

We’ve appointed digital trust specialist Raidiam, assisted by PayPoint, to support the development of the Trust Framework that underpins the Consumer Consent Solution (CCS). This is a key step towards establishing a more secure, consistent, and consumer-focused data consent solution for the GB retail energy market.

Raidiam brings expertise in digital trust infrastructure and open data ecosystems and will work with us to design and implement the CCS Trust Framework. PayPoint will support the operational service model and service management capability required to help CCS operate effectively as an enduring service.

Together, this will be critical to ensuring that consumer consent is managed securely, transparently, and reliably for both consumers and industry.

Enabling Consumer-Led Flexibility

Trusted, standardised consent is critical to enabling Consumer-Led Flexibility (CLF). As consumers take part in flexible tariffs and new energy services, we need to ensure access to consumer data is secure, consistent, and interoperable.

The CCS Trust Framework and supporting operational model will help unlock this by reducing fragmentation, giving consumers clear and secure control over how their energy data is accessed and used, and providing market participants with a dependable framework for participation.

Where we are now

Appointing Raidiam and PayPoint marks a significant step forward in CCS delivery, moving the programme closer to a fully operational model for consumer consent in the energy market.

We’ll continue to work closely with Ofgem, industry stakeholders, and consumer bodies as the Trust Framework develops, ensuring their input shapes both the design and its practical application.

What’s next

Thank you to everyone who responded to the recent CCS Design Consultation.
